President Marcos Jr. Delivers Second SONA, Highlights Economic Progress, Infrastructure, and Agriculture
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. delivered his second State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 24, 2023, at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City. In his speech, Marcos Jr. highlighted the economic progress made by his administration in the past year and his plans for infrastructure and agriculture. Economic Progress Marcos Jr. said that the Philippine economy grew by 8.3% in the first quarter of 2023, the highest in Southeast Asia. He also noted that the unemployment rate has fallen to 5.1%, the lowest in 20 years.
